What's New

In addition to compatibility with the latest DWG and DWF file formats, Autodesk® Impression 3 graphics presentation software contains several new customer-requested features and enhancements.

The Style Book Wizard

Save time creating custom style libraries with the Style Book Wizard. Instead of manually copying and creating each style and modifying the colour of style elements one by one, the Style Book Wizard automates this process. Use it togenerate a predetermined number of colour variations based on an existing “source” style.

Adaptive Gradients

With adaptive gradients, the gradient follows the shape of the object that is being filled. Adaptive gradients are a great addition to the linear and radial gradients available in earlier versions of Autodesk Impression graphics presentation software.

Block Identification

When you roll over a block, a special tooltip identifying the block's name will appear. The cursor will indicate if it's a block, a substituted block, or a multiblock.

Block Creation

Use the right-click menu to quickly create a block from a selection on the canvas.

Global Style Controls

Impression 3 graphics presentation software includes new global style controls for rotation and hue. These enhanced controls can work in conjunction with the Resize Style global control that was added to the Layer Editor in Autodesk Impression 2.

New Layer Tools

The Tools palette now contains controls for isolating layers and turning layers on and off.

Layer Filters

Create selection filters for displaying only the layers you need with the new Filter Selected Layers button on the Layers palette toolbar.
